Off to a Rocky Start

We are definitely off to a rocky start of the school year.  My 8th grader is taking almost all high school courses and it is a big learning curve switching from k12’s OLS to the LMS.

My 5th grader passed summer school and state testing!  Woo Hoo!  So he is fairly excited now.  His first novel study was The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe.

My 7th grader is actually being very independent and not complaining and grumbling as much this year.  Her first novel study is The Hobbit!  She is excited about that.

Tadpole had to sort classification cards for life science and created her own little art studio with a clay self for art.

My 1st grader is already 1/2 way through some of first grade.  He started mid-last year.  We did opt to go back to the beginning of 1st grade math as we had not made it very far and he needed to cement things like skip counting that he just didn’t really seem to have down pat when last year ended.
